Thermacool Mechanical recently completed a full mechanical system upgrade for a homeowner in Mission, BC, helping them transition away from gas and into a cleaner, more efficient home - with almost no out-of-pocket cost.

The project included the supply and installation of a new 3-ton TOSOT high-efficiency heat pump with backup electric heat strips, replacing the home's existing gas heating system. We also installed a new heat pump water heater to replace the old gas water heater, fully electrifying the home's heating and hot water.

This project was completed under BC's CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Program - a provincial rebate program that makes energy-efficient home upgrades more affordable based on household income. The program covered 95% of the total project cost, meaning the homeowner paid just $700 out of pocket for a complete mechanical system overhaul.
